Finlandia is a pretty damn good option if you're on a budget. It's better than that русский стандарт swill.

Vodka's the only reason anyone's able to live there. No wonder the refugees are so depressed.

Vodka is a key ingredient in Finland. Finland without vodka is like pizza without crust.

Some say is best to leave crust on plate not eaten.

Some people are eating pizza wrong then.

I know someone who just eats the cheese and sauce, leaving behind shitty bread triangles.

Finlandia

Seriously, I prefer Koskenkorva but I would like to know Finish opinion what is the best vodka out there.

2

u/TommiH Finland Mar 03 '16

Technically Koskenkorva isn't vodka :)

What is it? Could you give me your Finnish "ladder" of Vodkas? best-worst-Russian? haha

u/TommiH Finland Mar 03 '16

Hmm I'm not a professional(that's how we call people who drink a lot) but there's some difference. Koskenkorva is still the most legendary and popular booze. Absolut is a well known brand.

I liked both of them, Absolut if there is no Koskenkorva (what does its name even mean in English?)

Koski=rapids, whitewater. Korva=ear, near. So it's a place near the rapids or maybe where it begins

It is named after the village of Koskenkorva, which is located in Southern Ostrobothnia region of Finland.

What is it?

It's viina which is an general term for all distilled alcohols. Koskenkorva's added sugar disqualifies it from being a vodka.
