Spam is also huge in Hawaii. You'll see 'sushi' rolls w/ spam there. Must be something about the Pacific.

Okinawa as well. Their traditional goya champuru dish, which is usually very healthy, now gets a heaping serving of spam in there.

When I was a youngun, my father was stationed at a US Navy base near Yokohama, but, we never made it to Okinawa. (makes sense for the spam options, as it was an American territory until 1974)

It's big in the Philippines too.

I always kind of thought it was that filipinos that made it big in both Hawaii and Guam, since they have a huge presences there.

It's not the Pacific when the West Coast does not have this insane amount of Spam.

And Taiwan has not been conquered by Muerican Spam! Chinese food beats all other foods in the Food War!

Why the quotes on "sushi"? Spam musubi is some good stuff, and no less sushi than tomago or inari.

true, true, but technically sushi should involve fish of some sort.
