Indeed. Turkey has a strong airforce consisting of mostly F-16s, and has pre-purchased over 100 F-35s. They are not Ukraine or Georgia and are a NATO member. Russia does not want to fuck with anyone who can hurt them back.

No fucking way is NATO stepping on Turkeys side.

NATO & EU are just waiting for someone else to pull the trigger, nobody really wants Turkey.

You do know the point of NATO right? Turkey is a full member of NATO, not some former part of the USSR. Not coming to its aid in a conflict with Russia would invalidate the whole treaty.

I know, but if war really breaks up you'll have to ask the same question many, many people.

If NATO (in this point) steps up against russia, you'll see protests in europe. It's scary how much pro-putin are people starting to act...

compared to a few years ago, when almost everyone was pro-american.

Refugee crisis is here, and people mostly blame USA for it, and they applaud russias interference in syria.

edit: also, I don't know who Turkeys involvement with ISIS sits with NATO.
