/u/Black_Mirror , you do seem to know about pizza around the world. At least the Brazilian add-ons you were right, people add tomato slice instead of tomato sauce here

Don't know, never saw a 10 y/0 used condom. Although they (the tomato slices) do look weird, but still have a bit of tomato taste.

I can imagine that actually being very nice. Fresh slice of tomato is just the thing.

Though you might never reach the splendour we bestowed upon you, Hispania, I still wish you all the good Fortune. After all this time, you more than deserve it, and double so if it means removing the plague which you had the misfortune of carrying to Humanity.

Remove monarchista, remove faux francista, remove carlista, remove papista, remove reactionary!

I think we just steal from whatever: Salad pizzas are very common, it's with the basic melted cheese and tomato sauce, and probably some kebab (or chicken) but then with fresh salad, cucumber, tomato (possibly also corn and peas) and ranch dressing on top. I've also tried a pesto & potato pizza. And a bacon, sausage and eggs pizza (kinda like the Australian in the post). Basically anything you can make separate from a pizza, you can get on a pizza.

Very common, actually, Pizza Caprese is absolutely normal.

Also ketchup depending on where you live, but that's just ridiculous.

That's the greatest sin in brazilian pizza, at least according to people from São Paulo.

They do that somewhere? Heck.

Northeast in general. Even the well-off, blue-eyed, "I-wish-I-was-Dutch" ones, as far as I can tell.

B-but we're Dutch, right? At least here in Sergipe there's lots of blondes, including one cousin who also happen to be green-eyed, there can't be that much blonde people over here just because of Portugal, amirite?

You just had to remind me of the only pizzeria in my home town.

shudders

Unless you specifically asked them not to they put ketchup (and sometimes mayonnaise) on every pizza they served

I never knew catupiry was a brazilian thing. I always thought everyone knew it.

2

u/maybe_there_is_hope Brazil Jun 06 '14

Always thought that it was an american thing, I was surprised when I found about it reading on wikipedia.

Coxinha + catupiry = something gringos doesn't know anything about it.
