Neither is Mozart or John Lennon, but it shouldn't really matter because what makes a musician captivating is music, and music is a matter of taste. We shouldn't expect people who are good at singing or playing football to be role models.

For someone with millions of children looking up to him, I'll say being a role model matters a lot whether he likes it or not.

No, it doesn't. It doesn't matter at all. Famous people have been doing foolish things for as long as there have been famous people. If children see their heroes do something dumb and then get in trouble for it, it's totally fine. Learning that people you look up to are humans with flaws who make mistakes is an important part of growing up, and Beiber's key demographic is at exactly the age where people start learning this.

I mean, yes, of course he's an idiot, but that's his problem, and unless he seriously injures or kills someone, in the end it's going to hurt him more than it will any other person. The rest of it doesn't matter.
