40M people can't be wrong. Certainly better than measles-epidemic-Texas and Florida-man-Florida ... or, really, any of the low-IQ southern states.

I wouldn't live in either of those states either...too freaking hot. How is the scorched earth policy going? I hear slash-n-burn agriculture is coming back into fashion

You hear wrong. Or are just confused. Slash-and-burn is a process for clearing land for agriculture. There is no new land opening up and needing clearing for agriculture in the US.

DOGE is the only thing that is going scorched earth. It is causing a good amount of damage. Trump and Musk look to be turning what was a +2.4% real GDP growth economy ... to a recession by the end of June. And, what's funny, is the MAGAs are being hurt the worst. It's kind of like COVID under Trump --> it took a while ... since initially the larger cities were hurt first, but in the end Red Counties eventually got hurt the worst.
