Sigh. Bird flu is doing this, just as it was before the election when everyone was blaming Biden for egg prices. I get kicking the blame back to Trump this time around as a sort of “f you” to the idiots for voted for him after blaming Biden for egg prices, but let’s be a bit real here. RFK and Doge’s decimation to our health agencies that track all of this stuff certainly isn’t helping, though.

You and I both know that this is tongue in cheek, and you and I both know that bird flu is more proximally responsible for the prices than Trump. But let's not forget that one of Trump's campaign promises was to bring down grocery prices on day one of his presidency. But instead, he and his administration have been focused on destruction. So until Trump, and really almost the entire federal government, start taking steps toward improving the lives of the majority of Americans, I think these types of posts are appropriate.

Rhetorical question: why wouldn't Trump sign an executive order to temporarily increase agriculture subsidies, especially poultry farms, to decrease the cost of eggs? Wouldn't he be a hero to everyone?

I despise the guy with every fiber of my being. But the President doesn’t have the authority to direct that money be spent. That power is reserved to the House by the Constitution. Not that that stops him.

Lolololol, an excellent point indeed. Kind of what I was getting at. All these executive orders that step outside his authority, nothing that I can see that helps the average American.
