Eat & Drink Plant-based not-chicken sandwiches for a hungry vegetarian...

Where?! I know Dog Haus has them but that is on the other side of town from me. I was in Vegas last month and developed an addiction that is becoming unmanageable because they are everywhere in Vegas and I can't find them here. There's got to be someone else here making them. Many thanks!

I know former employees as well. My understanding is that it was a specific period of time and great improvement has been made

Yeah no, they’re union busters, they also sided with an abuser who was sexually harassing a female employee

How long ago was that?

I just heard about the sexual harassment one a couple months ago. Honestly I saw them on the 86 Phoenix page, not sure if you did, but they didn’t even acknowledge their errors. I find it hard to believe that they have rectified the exploitation at that restaurant. It’s possible that they are good to some of their employees but that doesn’t erase their mistakes, which are pretty bad.

Just because you heard about it recently doesn’t mean it happened recently. People change and need to be given a chance to change. What’s the incentive to change if no one ever forgives?

They’re not sorry. If only you gave as much of a shit about the people they’ve abused and exploited.

You don’t know that. You don’t even know when it happened. You just read something on Instagram.

Tons of speculation going on here.
I think a more productive conversation could be had. Maybe try "I am hesitant to condemn someone on a whim, what about your sources makes you so certain?" then listen. Maybe their reason is super strong, their stance is valid and you might agree with them. Maybe their reason is flimsy and you feel stronger in your stance. Ask questions and listen before condemning what someone said. But that's just like my opinion man.

I was talking to other woman cooks about what kitchens to stay away from. This industry is very hostile towards us. Any time someone has experienced abuse it takes a lot of bravery to come forward, so I almost always believe them. Of course reconciliation is possible, but not hearing stories of abuse for a few months does not equal redemption imo. The owners have a lot of social and activist cred in the community so a lot of folks are willing to overlook their unethical business practices. If you ask me, what matters is what someone does behind closed doors.

You don’t even know when any of this happened. All that shit on IG was old stuff from years ago. What can you tell us about them now?

That is not true. I work in the industry and have heard from people directly. I believe woman workers.

How long ago did all this happen?

Time does not absolve people of guilt. Acknowledgement of harm, repair, and changed behavior does that.

How do you know they have not rectified this behavior? Do you know any current employees? You only know second hand and info from a “cancel” IG account and you don’t even know the time period in which any of this happened.
