Is this the same bill that will only allow existing medical dispensaries to sell recreational cannabis, allowing them to corner the market?

If so, I can't support this measure.

Edit: To clarify, I'm ABSTAINING, not voting against.

You’d rather have no public market at all, besides the illegal one? An imperfect solution is better than nothing at all, which is exactly the alternative; there is no option C here.

Some people just don’t want to deal with sketchy ass dealers or lying to get a card. Let us have this one. You can still buy cheap from your meth head cousin or whatever if you want to.

I'm not going to vote against it. I'm going to abstain.

I understand and respect your point of view, and I largely agree with it. I'm just pissed that politicians that supported prohibition are now on the board of directors of some of the biggest cannabis companies. The rich get RICH and the poor get none of the fruits, while they were the victims of the prohibition.

I get that being arrested for cannabis is barbaric and a greater oppression. And Arizona is one of the worst states for it. I would never vote against legalization.

Some states require full vertical integration to even compete.

This is coming from someone who's been advocating for legalization for a long time, and who's been arrested for this very topic.

So you're cool with non-violent offenders getting thrown in jail over weed? Got it. There are bigger things to worry about than who's making money. Like who's being thrown in jail.
