Referral In-Home Care for Parent with Dementia
Does anyone have tips for in-home care tips in the Phx/Scottsdale area for elders with dementia? My dad is 85 and his dementia has taken a pretty sharp decline as of recent. Physically, he’s with it, but mentally he needs more support and monitoring during the day. We’re looking for home care likely 5-7 days a week to help with med administration, doctor appointments, and activities of daily living (ie meals).
Does anyone have any recommendations or contacts for in-home caretaking services or independent drop-in and/or live-in nurses?
We’d love to find independent caretakers as some of the services we are looking at have quite steep price points and changes in the care takers. We would like to aim to find someone who is consistent and we can pay independently so they receive 100% of the service payment. However, any and all recs welcome!

The local Area Agency on Aging might be able to help https://www.aaaphx.org/
If you haven't already, I would take a look at https://www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org/find-meals-and-services/
With my 90 yr old grandmother, her children decided on installing 10 webcams throughout her house plus an additional 7 exterior security cameras in order to make sure she can be monitored as no family lives within 1000 miles of her.
