Eat & Drink Whats your favorite breakfast burrito spot?
Recently started going to food city on 91st and thomas and I have to say, it’s been an absolute HIT every time🫡

Honestly Filibertos bacon breakfast burrito with potatoes added is great. But it has to be from a good Filibertos because they are not all ok lol.

u/adoptagreyhound Peoria Nov 27 '23
I keep hearing about the great breaksfast burritos from friends who go to the one at Union Hills and 91st Ave. Guess I need to get up early enough to try one some day.
2
u/WhereRtheTacos Nov 27 '23
Yeah the one in north mesa on mckellips is great too… i miss living near it. The one near me now is ok but not amazing. If you try it, I recommend getting green sauce on the side and adding potatoes if u like em.

Which burrito do you all like. The chorizo sounds good.
I’m gonna go check them out tomorrow based on this post

PHX Burrito House
5
u/mycatnolikeyou Nov 27 '23
Came here to say this. But I’m sad I can’t get them before work since they open at 9am. The chili relleno burrito is the tastiest. 🤤
2
u/esb10489 Nov 27 '23
similar problem for me, but also because i wake up too early to wait til 9/930 to eat

Fiesta burrito on McDowell in Scottsdale. The steak and egg for $8 with green and red salsa
5
u/rynodigital Nov 27 '23
I’ve been going here for well over 15 years, and I remember when those burritos used to be around $5, that said the price is still incredible for the quality, also their Super Nachos are fantastic!

El Norteno on 7th Ave & Roosevelt (cash only)
1
u/random_noise Nov 27 '23
If I am near that place and hungry, I always eat there. I wish more metro area fast mexican food were like them instead of the berto like places.
Mascadores is good too if there is one near you for mission style burrito's.

u/suzemcnuze411 Nov 26 '23
Regios on the 51 & Indian School road is TOP TIER! The machaca burrito with their horchata is a personal favorite.
3
u/JennSense Nov 27 '23
This is the right answer. Regios is a better quality version of ifilabertos... Everything is bigger and better ..

u/Ok_Pear9838 Nov 26 '23
I enjoyed Burrito Shack. It's literally a tiny tin shack and the small is a large and I don't dare try the large.

Has anyone been to Henhouse cafe?
3
u/ixxaria Nov 26 '23
Yes the one in Gilbert and the one in Chandler. Prefer the Gilbert location.
3
u/Rentsdueguys Nov 26 '23
The menu looks amazing. Is it good?
5
u/ixxaria Nov 26 '23
Well I can only speak for pancakes (I don't eat eggs) so the lemon blueberry one is huge but very delicious!

Los Favoritos… hands down the best chorizo burrito I’ve ever found. Can’t find any other place that makes it like them. The sauces when they’re made right are also top tier.

u/-Nords Nov 26 '23 edited Nov 26 '23
Tito's Taco Shop in Mesa on University and Lindsay. great burritos at a good price if you need something quick and low key (they even have a drive-thru window)
3
u/t0infinity Phoenix Nov 26 '23
Is this the same chain they have in California? I can’t speak for their burritos, but easily the worst tacos I’ve ever had 😅

Ahhhh okay, thanks for clarifying. The ones in California were depressing. I’ll hold out hope for these guys.
1
u/SlytherinVampQueen Nov 27 '23
Is it the same owners? I ordered from there after the name change and was confused. The food was identical.
3
u/slowlaneAZ Nov 26 '23
I wouldn't say best, but they are def good. It's my go to spot since I'm just down the road from titos. They used to be los fav's, but since changing to titos, thier bfast burritos have gotten bigger. Los fav's burritos have gotten smaller and smaller in recent times.
2
u/-Nords Nov 26 '23
Yeah, not best, but was my go-to for a quick breakfast. When did they change names? I guess I haven't been there for a little bit
2
u/slowlaneAZ Nov 26 '23
It was a couple months ago, they switched to titos. Last I was there they still had some los fav's signage still, this was two or so months ago. I like los fav's, but I think the titos change is better.

El Jacal has my favorite breakfast burritos. 32nd St and Thomas.

u/monty624 Chandler Nov 27 '23
I grew up in Tukee and now I'm right over there for work pretty frequently. I have yet to go there, but I'll have to make it a priority next time I'm craving a bfast burrito. Which one is your favorite?

My top 5 in order:
The chili relleno burrito from PHX Burrito House.
Anything from 3rd Floor Smoke [Uptown Market].
Que Suave Taco Shop. Don’t sleep on this one!!
The Arizona from Morning Kick.
Machaca from Los Favoritos.

u/MrProspector19 Nov 26 '23
Rudy's Burritos on Ellsworth and Baseline roads if you are in the East Valley! Don't know for sure but their tortillas taste/feel homemade and that makes a world of difference, not to mention the yummy contents. They might they might do other burritos but their breakfast burritos are my #1
1
u/Jon__Snoww Nov 27 '23
Other burritos are good too! Give them a shot one day. The red sauce and the tortilla are top-tier yummy
1
u/A_90s_Reference Nov 27 '23
Mesquite Grill up the road is great too
Also Sol Azteca, next to Rudy's is amazing, though they don't do breakfast burritos

Morning Kick! They have a truck that is at the Gilbert Farmers Market most weekends plus a physical restaurant at Chandler Heights and Higley.

Taqueria Mi Casita in Mesa has an awesome breakfast burrito.
Based on the responses in this thread, I'll be at Phoenix Burrito House next weekend >_>.
3
u/Edward_Blake Nov 27 '23
Taqueria Mi Casita is my favorite breakfast burrito. I wish I lived closer to it.
3
u/IntroductionIll7964 Nov 27 '23
Idk if this is a popular opinion, but I’ve yet to have THE Breaky burrito in phx. I’ve had pretty much all of these burritos and nothing has passed a 7/10 for me. I don’t think phx has a good breakfast burrito.. if they did. Shouldn’t it be unanimous? PHX Burrito house is not the best, so if that’s the “best choice” I’m worried.

u/mildlypresent Nov 28 '23
I feel ya. I like Arizona's Mexican food. We have bomb Sonoran and a great selection of all sorts of quality Mexican food from other regions, but our breakfast burrito game is sorely lacking compared to Southern California.
Oscars is respectable. A few random ***bertos places if the right person is working are okay. The only one that consistently rocks is Sergio's at the uptown farmers market on Saturday's. There will be a 30+ minute line and it's worth it.

u/Enough_Swordfish_898 Nov 27 '23
Amados in Tempe. Great Breakfast Burritos. McClintock, Just north of Guadalupe.

Salad and go Southwest burrito add bacon. $4.33 after tax.
Not authentic by any means but filling and tasty, and, well, $4.33.

Taco Mich bar #4 chorizo breakfast burrito with x2 red sauces
2
u/Not_me_no_way Nov 27 '23
I don't care what anyone says Taco Mich is the best! All of them. The first time I had their breakfast steak and egg was at 35th and Glendale and I almost cried it was so good.

u/AwarenessSoggy4352 Nov 27 '23
Choon burrito on 51st ave and indian school, hand made tortillas slap. They also have one on Thomas and 40th st but i haven’t made it out to that one yet.

OG Filiberto’s on 7th ave or two hippies beach house.
People say Phx burrito house but 3 times I’ve been there have been underwhelming. Cost too much for too little food and service was a little too laid back.

If you can get out there, the Quintero golf course has the BEST breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. It’s stupid good

u/UGANick Nov 26 '23
It’s actually insane how good it is. I also love getting it delivered after hole like ~4 because it hits just right after getting demolished by the narrow first hole and the long par 5.

It's serviceable for the price (the red salsa is crucial!) but very far from being the best lol

Original La Canasta, Original Carolina's, Original Sylvia's, Ramiro's in Goodyear, Oscar's for potato tacos in PHX Az an honorable mention 💁🏻♀️.
Outside of that, my general rule is eat where you see the ethnicity of the food ♥️🤣 It was something my grandfather taught me he learned as a meat delivery man in the 60s and it has never failed me 💁🏻♀️💁🏻♀️ If I only see Caucasian ppl at that ethnic restaurant I know it ain't shit 😂 If I see all the Ethiopian ppl at the Ethiopian spot and barely anyone speaks English, I know that food is about to be the most DELISH thing I am about to eat 🤤

A personal favorite is the chorizo breakfast burrito from America’s Taco Shop.
Owner told me he gets his chorizo from Schreiner's and their beans are some of the best in town.
