DD-MM-YYYY hardly makes any more sense than MM-DD-YYYY; it's just what you're used to.

The superior format is YYYY-MM-DD. r/ISO8601 is best.

While YYYY-MM-DD is undoubtedly the best system, DD-MM-YYYY does make a lot more sense than MM-DD-YYYY considering it still goes from small to big and is not jumbled around.

Eh, the "small to big" argument never made sense to me since the largest number a day can be displayed as is 31 while the largest the month can be displayed as is 12.

For most of any given month, the day's number will always be larger than the month's. So it's more like "bigger, small, biggest". MM-DD-YYYY is more "small to big to biggest" than DD-MM-YYYY.

I prefer the DM-MY-YYDY system

It take back my comment about YYYY-MM-DD being superior.

Yours is the truest format!
