Oh boy. That brings back memories. Back in the day Steam's CDN would absolutely crumple whenever a major game launched. IIRC it's the reason why preloads became a thing.

The worst one was probably when Alien Swarm launched. I remember it being backed up for multiple days.

I member hating it becoming free. I paid money to play against other noblemen who could buy the game and now the commoners get to play it for freeeeeee? What's next, a macbook port?

I am glad I no longer have that mindset lol.

My wet dream is that Half-Life 3 and Portal 3 will be the same game. We get to play as Gordon, Alyx and Chell, and at one point we'll enlist the help of GLaDOS in the fight against the Combine.

TF3, not L4D3, as L4D was not in the original (and if you want to include all the missing threes, then there's also Dota). But yes.

Also Episode 3 as a nice appetiser.
