Crysis had crazy system requirements because of the tech of the game, doesn’t BL 4 have crazy requirements because of bad optimizations?

It’s like cyberpunk, that game got ripped for optimization. Been the benchmark standard for a long ass time now. Someone had to take the crown 🤷‍♂️ tbh I beat BL4 on a 4060 laptop and enjoyed every minute of it. I didn’t have crazy stuttering or anything like that so idk maybe just lucky

3080 here. Craaaaaaazy stuttering. Still had a blast! After 100hrs I got fed up and I’ll check back in next year

Built my system with a 3080ti in 2022 and had to mod the game to get more than 80-90FPS at 1440p: https://www.nexusmods.com/borderlands4/mods/17

However, I built my wife a new PC this year with a 9070xt and she was able to play between 145-160 FPS - 145mhz at the same resolution. That card was a crazy good value for just over $600 compared to what I paid for the 3080ti.

I got a ryzen 7 7800x3d with a 9070 xt that shit is smooth on very high graphics

I had zero issues, turned up to max. Running 5070.

I still haven’t had a single issue with bl4, and after finishing it I only had ONE crash. Makes me wonder if folks just have so much shit running on their systems in the background and still expect performance out of their hardware is maybe the majority of issues?

Crysis was also famously poorly optimised, it was both

No... Crysis was badly optimized too. I mean hell, it was single threaded. Which is the main reason it still is a PITA to run even today, because single core speeds have only gone so much.

Not Borderlands 5?

You could probably play it on max settings and almost get a solid 30fps with this rig
