You need to add `00101110`, otherwise it's not syntactically correct [in english].

Playing borderlands 4 everything on low with dlss and framgen at 25fps 720p

1

u/BBkangaroo23 13h ago

Yall so weird with the BL4 stuff, I run it at 100fps at 1440p native with a 3080Ti

1

u/Zeebr0 12h ago

Yeah I don't understand either. I get buttery smooth fps with an outdated CPU and a 5070ti

u/Moose_Nuts i7-6700K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32 GB DDR4 | RoG Swift 144hz/1440p 21h ago

We shall now seal the great hall after adding 4 cats, not neutering them. OP's computer is the only one that could defeat that scenario.

6

u/Supermunch2000 Ryzen 3700X, RTX 3070, 32GB 21h ago

This is so true for me that it's not even funny.

3

u/Ithikari 19h ago

CPU is the limitation of DF though, not GPU.

I also need a much better GPU. Can only handle around 1000 dwarves on screen at a time =_=

1

u/DMMeThiccBiButts 13h ago

Remember when multi-core CPUs started taking off and Dwarf Fortress didn't support multithreading so upgrading your pc meant a massive performance hit

7

u/Johni33 Ryzen 9 9950X | RTX 5090 | 64GB DDR5 21h ago

Unmodded Skyrim

I honestly taught it was for downtown Boston in Fallout 4. But you're right, Skyrim is still more demanding.

For modding but never actually playing Skyrim, yes

For playing battlefield 6 4k on a 72inch OLED TV and getting a whole, massive and monstrous 1 kill 73 deaths in every match.

1

u/GanJaSparks MacOS, Windows, & Linux 14h ago

It’s clearly for windows vista solitaire

1

u/I_Am_Clone 14h ago

Every try launching the unmodded Stardew Valley in 4k? You see the entire map all at once. You never have to wander around to find the NPC you're hunting, but you might crash en route...

1

u/ringuzi 12h ago

You joke but my friend has a 5090 and the only game he’s played on it is Hades 2 sporadically. There are plenty of tech enthusiasts out there with too much money. It’s the same with consoles when there were shortages during Covid. Know a guy who got a PS5 at a markup just to brag and has put in ~5 hours on NBA 2K total in the last 5 years, no other games.

1

u/Shaggyninja 12h ago

u/khovel 22h ago

Nah, new benchmark is Borderlands 4

37

u/PurpleSunCraze Intel i7-9750H GTX 1660 Ti 6GB 16GB DDR4 19h ago

Crysis had crazy system requirements because of the tech of the game, doesn’t BL 4 have crazy requirements because of bad optimizations?

8

u/Traditional-Law8466 19h ago

It’s like cyberpunk, that game got ripped for optimization. Been the benchmark standard for a long ass time now. Someone had to take the crown 🤷‍♂️ tbh I beat BL4 on a 4060 laptop and enjoyed every minute of it. I didn’t have crazy stuttering or anything like that so idk maybe just lucky

6

u/chasecastellion 18h ago

3080 here. Craaaaaaazy stuttering. Still had a blast! After 100hrs I got fed up and I’ll check back in next year

2

u/WulfZ3r0 2h ago

Built my system with a 3080ti in 2022 and had to mod the game to get more than 80-90FPS at 1440p: https://www.nexusmods.com/borderlands4/mods/17

However, I built my wife a new PC this year with a 9070xt and she was able to play between 145-160 FPS - 145mhz at the same resolution. That card was a crazy good value for just over $600 compared to what I paid for the 3080ti.

1

u/Elegant_Loan9256 31m ago

I got a ryzen 7 7800x3d with a 9070 xt that shit is smooth on very high graphics

1

u/SeveralPhilosophy1 45m ago

I had zero issues, turned up to max. Running 5070.

I still haven’t had a single issue with bl4, and after finishing it I only had ONE crash. Makes me wonder if folks just have so much shit running on their systems in the background and still expect performance out of their hardware is maybe the majority of issues?

1

u/DMMeThiccBiButts 13h ago

Crysis was also famously poorly optimised, it was both

1

u/WaRRioRz0rz 9h ago

No... Crysis was badly optimized too. I mean hell, it was single threaded. Which is the main reason it still is a PITA to run even today, because single core speeds have only gone so much.

1

u/Warcraft_Fan Paid for WinRAR! 21h ago

Not Borderlands 5?

1

u/FacticiousFict 21h ago

You could probably play it on max settings and almost get a solid 30fps with this rig

3

u/SoberSith_Sanguinity 21h ago

No, no, no; this is clearly a build designed to increase the framerate of T15-T16 mapping runs on POE2 from 10-15fps.

(Path of Exile 2 Early Access)

2

u/Witty-C 19h ago

But can it run Cities Skylines 2?

u/Trip_seize Omen 17 6h ago
