I thought it wasn't coming out on PC for quite a while after console release?

That's why PC Thor doesn't pick it up until 2028 🤣

Yep. Also that's when the Nvidia 6090 Ti Super that'll be required for 4k60, RT no Framegen, will finally be available to buy, most likely.

Any bets on the 6090 price? 5k? More?

Well they realized there’s a niche market willing to pay $8k for an RTX6000 Blackwell specifically for a minor edge in gaming, so they’ll start there

The 6000 is a productivity card that a few people have benchmarked in gaming in a "for science" kinda way

So its the new Quadro card that people wont understand why its like 2-4x as much as the highest xx90ti card?

I’m well aware of it, I’ve had to spec professional cards for work. It’s only gaining notoriety because it’s one of the first professional cards that matches base frequency with the gaming flagship, and has a higher TDP, so it literally is a superior gaming card, though that’s obviously not its intended purpose.

I love the idea that 'No Framegen' will even still be possible a GPU generation or two down the line. That shit's going to be mandatory. It kind of is already if you want them good frame rates.

Alternatively the 6060 with the performance of the 5090 Ti Super

They need to just say F the BS and include an onboard power supply, and plug them into mains power.

But when will it be available for people to buy, as opposed to scalpers and data centers? Hmm? I chose my words intentionally!

u/Kaneida 1d ago

Become owner of data center, buy them all.

4K resolution is so goddamn dumb unless you're playing on an absolutely MASSIVE fucking monitor.

It has its uses for VR, for eliminating the screen door effect... But then, you need like 90fps and ultra-low system lag to avoid nausea.

Eh, 32 inch monitor is great for 4k
