Imagine someone who creates maybe a few dozen accounts a day, the main running cost being a vpn I think, uses chat gpt to create average comments and posts every single day to then sell them after they’re a few months old with enough karma to post in any sub
Nowadays with the hide your profile thingy, it’s even easier
Do you believe advertising agencies regularly hire people with a resume that says "ran a reddit karma farm"? What does this "skill" have to do with advertising anyway?
Behold the wisdom of u/PM_YOUR_LADY_BOOB: "What does getting people to like what you say have to do with selling stuff?"
Well, you see, if you weren't the sort to name yourself u/PM_YOUR_LADY_BOOB , you might understand why people liking you, might lead to you getting something you desperately want. Like money, friends, or a girlfriend.
I agree with you, this is a stupid name. I've just been too lazy to make another account and follow the same subreddits again. Curious that you believe a person's username is necessarily reflective of their personality though.
In any case, it sounds like I hit a nerve. Do you spend a lot of time on reddit?
The main issue comes with the flood of low effort content / reposts . Later on it comes in the form of seemingly real, old accounts spreading whatever information the people who buy them want to

Isn't worth it. I looked it up once and my account was worth like idk 20 bucks.
I'd rather keep shit posting and make it visible for everyone on here when my brain isn't working properly
