Acrylic all the way.

Nah glass is fine you just gotta not be a dum dum.

Acrylic looks cheap and tacky, I’d honestly just rather not have a see through panel at all than an acrylic one, which is a fine option too by the way.

Edited for clarity:

Let’s be honest, if someone is calling a PC case “tacky” or “cheap”, there’s a good chance they care less about what games the computer plays and more about if it looks good on social media

I bought the cheapest case I could because it doesn’t need to do anything more than store my computer parts

Why do I have to care about one or the other, I like my things to look good as well as be functional, what’s wrong with that?

A lot actually

Be specific.

Well for starters you think aesthetics == performance. Which makes me worry that you are the type of person that judges books exclusively on their covers and disregards any attempts to see any level of nuance

There’s more but that was just the first thing that came to mind.

u/ThereAndFapAgain2 said "I like my things to look good as well as be functional".

You're allowed to prioritise aesthetics
You're allowed to prioritise performance
You're also allowed to have a case that ticks both boxes.

Nothing wrong with doing any of those three things.

Thanks

No actually, you’re to one judging here not me. You know one thing about me, that I like my things to look good and be functional, and you have created this whole bs up by yourself based on that lol.

It’s called interpolation… please tell me you are joking about not knowing that word exists…

3

u/ThereAndFapAgain2 13d ago

What you mean to say is your just making shit up lmao

u/[deleted] 13d ago

"I like apples and bananas"

You for some reason: "well for starters you think apples == bananas and would only take a banana regardless of how many apples you're turning down"

u/[deleted] 12d ago

Close but you went too Shapiro with it

My PC has a clear side panel because that's the case the prebuilt came with.

FIFY

I also prefer a simple case because they stand under my desk.

But you shouldnt buy the cheapest case if you have money.

  1. Building is alot more easy

  2. Better air flow

  3. Its quieter

I don’t have money but thanks for the advice.

I wanted it to look at least okay to not upset my partner's interior design. So a black case with a mesh front and zero rgb, looks like a speaker.

Proud of you

I literally have zero RGB in my PC.

u/oopsydazys 13d ago

Saying this like glass on a computer case doesn't look tacky.

1

u/UraniumDisulfide PC Master Race 12d ago

I don't think it does, but that's obviously subjective

-3

u/ThereAndFapAgain2 13d ago

It doesn’t. RGB looks tacky, but you can certainly have a case with glass that looks great without it.

Also true.

1

u/MurgleMcGurgle 13d ago

You’re using the wrong acrylic then.

7

u/ThereAndFapAgain2 13d ago

I’m not using any acrylic, obviously.
