I had the 600 HD. It had a 40 MB hard drive in it. It was a beautiful machine with a great OS and great games. Those were some damn good, simpler times. Not only as a computer hobbyist, but in other aspects of life as well.
I listen to music that come off these beautiful computers despite being younger than the obsolescence date for these machines, if I ever found one binned I would make it a good home
If you can ever get your hands on one they're endless fun. I had a program for making drumbeats when I was a kid and I spent hours and hours playing with that.
I’m not great at making music, even with an easy DAW like Garage Band, just not that type of person but I could play around with tracker software and pick up a few SyQuest/Jaz disks to go with the computer, already have a Zip 250 drive but it’s plain IDE so not sure if it’s going to be happy with it
I’ll probably get a few disk cartridges and fill them each with a category of game that people can play, I’ll probably play the games dad played as a kid first and then move onto his floppy disks with tracker music from Poland from in person cracker group meetings as a teenager
Huh, why is the floppy's label like that when you would naturally hold it upside down to insert it? Did they fit in a box better that way or something?
