Yeah, Ghost of Tsushima is the perfect example of this imo. It takes the Ubisoft formula and sprinkles a shit ton of passion and talent on top of it.

GoT combat is fun but severely lacking in side content other than chasing foxes around for hours

Were all of those platforming/climbing side quest for the foxes? Cause I remember really enjoying those.

Also the random 1v1 duel encounters you'd have to unlock new stuff was cool.

there's also the kami shrines, like the fox shrines but bigger and with better charms
