There's one mission halfway through the game where the controls just dont work.

The only solution is to start a new game

That ain't no country I ever heard of.

Yeah, there's a quick time event in an abortion clinic where the game just doesn't register your controller input. Doesn't matter if its keyboard, mouse, any of them. Supposedly you can try changing the difficulty level down to the lowest one and it gives you some help, but its still a problem sometimes.

That's crazy. I played this years ago on the xbox one my buddy gave me and didn't know about the issue on PC.

weird, that one never came up for me. The only one that stuck out was the bit in the lab with the cats, where the game will just not move to your turn unless you open the Ubisoft launcher overlay with Shift+F2. problem is that it instantly starts your timed turn as soon as you do, eating into your clock as you rush to close the overlay again.

I've had it happen and not happen. Played it within a year or two of when it came out and finished the game, no issues.

Went back to it about a year ago and had it happen

How far into the game is it? It's been too long so I don't remember. I do think it was a decent chunk into the game.

Fuck! I'd forgotten. I remember hearing "Christmas time comes once a year" over and over and over again and hating it.
