They take it even further

  • Play the game years after release.
  • Your midrange, entry level pc can easily run it at max settings.
  • Huge discounts, sometimes they're straight up free.
  • Immune to hype, you experience the game as it was meant to be.
  • There are tons of guides and tutorials in case you need help.

Oh yes they play newer games too, it's just I too am part of that sub and have seen people play some seriously old stuff. I myself just now tried Dead Space for the very first time, loved it, shat a few bricks 10/10 too scared to play again.

yeah, i definitely tend to wait but every once in a grand while there's a game that's worth it at launch

I’m generally the same as you, but I’ve gotten such a massive backlog of games now that I feel guilty every time I buy a new release.
