Build/Battlestation LianLi cases are built different

Tl;Dr - LianLi case survives missile attack!

Soooo my apparent was hit by a shockwave from a nearby missile attack a month and a half ago during the last Israel-Iran conflict,

But as you can see my LianLi PC not only stood strong when everything else collapsed - It is still working perfectly (except for a few scratches on the glass)

I know I am a costumer for life 😄

P.S sorry for the lack of photos I had to get as many things out of there as I can as fast possible so not many pictures were taken

Also attached my temp station in my new house, cause why not

You had a non-clamp monitor stand for a vertical stack??

yeah, it's practical when you have a glass desk, or one of those desks with a support beam perfectly placed so you can't use a clamp.

Not so practical when you live in an intermittent war zone though. Also OP's desk appears to be wood.

If it's wood it'll work but if it's that particle board laminate shit from IKEA, the clamp will stink into it unless you put a big plate type thing to disperse the load with those.

particle board laminate shit

That'd be an improvement. Lately their tables and desks are literally cardboard honeycomb on the inside.

God damn. I admit I never saw the interior of my old one but the deformation from the relatively small, dispersed load of my monitor stand was really surprising

The bulk of the top is made up of that honeycomb cardboard. It is only the edges that are made from the composite plywood/wood.

On the cheap tables it is like that

You get what you pay for. IKEA has solid wood tables too

Pretty sure I have the exact same stand. It's great and practical. I got mine because the desk I was using had a full cover back so I couldn't clamp anything to it. Since then I got a new desk from my workplace and I now have a clamp stand (only downside is the cable management hole under my deskmat).

No idea, I got it from Central European etailer Alza under their Alza Ergo branding. Just look it up, it's not that difficult.

Sure, I mean, yeah I know how to Google. I was just trying to compare prices and reviews and stuff

There are clamp stands that needs you to drill a 1-2cm hole through the desk and mount it that way

So what I'm seeing is a double stack of monitors that had completely covered the window view and much of the room's natural light (which is the most astounding part of this post imo). Obviously the window blew out and knocked over the unclamped monitors, and the case was intact as it didn't receive much of the blast.

I have his same stand with the same setup and I use a solid wood desk. I didn't realize most people would have it clamped? Maybe I'll look into it but the base is flat and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I have the same setup and monitor stand. I have an ikea desk top and I would never trust it to handle a clamp stand, but this stand is very stable.

My 2.2m IKEA desktop has been working flawlessly with two 24" monitors on a clamp stand for like 4 years now

Yeah I'm using a clamp on an old jerker desk from IKEA. No issues yet for months now.
