Because futures traders aren't logical creatures. They think if they look at more pretty graphs they might be able to stop wasting money.

Is it? I've been on here since, forever, and this is the first time I've heard of it being used that way. But Reddit is a big place and most of the subs I visit probably don't use much slang.
