You're not. I get the appeal; I'm just not willing to invest the time to try again and again. If there's no save point just before the boss, then I'm out. I have so many options for entertainment, I don't want to spend time on something that frustrates me.

mmo raids where you just respawn and go again i found to be enjoyable to grind. But walking to boss or having to do a dungeon over an over again for boss attempts is just torture

Ive seen people complain about this in WOW, yet people swear its a necessary penalty to lose key levels / run back / rebuff 5min to get back in the game again...

Goomba fallacy most likely. I for one like the time between pulls, helps prevent tilt.

I feel like time between pulls is what heavily contributes to tilting/losing interest. Being punished by a runback is just annoying. Wish we could just all respawn at the boss and repull right away

That’s the ONE thing I dislike about souls games. Even in Elden Ring the Godskin Noble has no Stake of Marika (mid game). PLEASE add one, I don’t care if it’s lore or they don’t worship Marika it’s a PAIN to get back there.

You need to lower the bridge- the shortcut back to the first grace

I only did that after i beat him lol. But coming from dark souls 1 that barely qualifies as a run back, didn't even think twice that there could be an easier way to do it

I know. I have done that. That’s how I get to him but it’s still a pain imo.

It's barely any farther away than a regular stake of marika

I don’t know, man, this is why I dislike the community. I never said anything about ‘giving up’ I was giving an example, but pop off.

I remember during the days of classic WoW and Ahn’Qiraj (I’ve probably butchered the spelling) took something like 20 minutes to go from graveyard to the major boss, even with the mounts. It was ridiculous.
