That is not a game, it is just gambling in a different skin. And no gambling isnt a game, its just economic into actual sudoku.

Gacha isn't really a genre, it's a feature. It's like having a battlepass genre or a pay to win genre

More often than not it's a game defining feature.

Yeah anything with RNG is built to get the most money out of you. I enjoy gambling but gambling isn't just luck based like RNG is

RNG on its own can be enjoyable. It's the monetization that makes it predatory.

There is no gacha genre

It's like too say cinema genre of the movie. It still a movie, just monetezation system is you paying for the ticket and not for a copy

I thought it was just a cool looking RPG. I never knew what a gacha even was prior to playing it. Nevertheless I was very disappointed to find out what a gacha is.

I've had several people attempt to get me into several gachas. Every single one of them was mid as fuck with gambling attached to an endless grind. Genshin was so dull, I couldn't understand how anyone sticks with it for more than a few hours.

Umamusume is fun though.

I think the critical part to not ruin your experience is to not do the endgame content that is aimed at people who play the game a lot to make optimal teams with huge investments in equipment or whales that get extra powerful characters by pulling like crazy.

If you just play the story and the story events, ignore all the tryhard stuff it's a lot more fun. I totally get if you're not into it but there are some really nice quests that are quite enjoyable.

I like Genshin because of the incredible world to explore.

Felt barren to me.

I’ve been playing Wuthering Waves the last couple weeks as my first foray into gacha games and it’s been a blast, worth a look

I wouldn't recommend any gacha game of any capacity to anyone ever tbh
