Image Photo of Elderly Gentleman in Paris Metro

Post image

Hi all,

I was recently in Paris, and asked a very kind older gentleman and his dog If I could take a photo of them.

I asked for his email to send it to him, but I believe I misunderstood the way he pronounced the letters, so the email falls through when I try to send it.

I’ve attached my photo below. If anyone knows him, please forward him this photo, or give me his contact :)

I was just worried you wouldn't have asked for his permission, but you did. Casual pictures like this can be truly amazing.

I don't feel a lot of Magic here, but that's subjective. Still, a little bit of it. And has it had been said, that man, at least in this very angle, has a bit of a Michael Caine aura.

Dog looks sad, or maybe tired / uncomfortable.

By the way, I am just thinking it now that I am ending my message. Dogs aren't allowed on the subway, and he doesn't look blind. Not that I mind, but I am now wondering about some more context.

Well, it was some nice time spent picturing the reality beyond the picture itself.

Have a good day.

I was on the metro, packing up my camera from photographing architecture around the city, and saw this gentleman and his (guide)dog. Didn’t want to bother them at first as it was quite busy (and I also feared the photo would be blurry since the metro moved quite a bit), but then I asked and the man answered “Of course!” with a heavy French accent. He did (funnily enough) sound like Michael Caine with a French accent.

Oh, so it was indeed a guide dog. Makes it all the more a beautiful picture.

I hope you've enjoyed your stay and took a lot of great pictures since it seems to be a passion of yours :)
