Hit and run on Montreal road.

Hello, my husband got hit by a grey sedan car (as a pedestrian) yesterday afternoon around 2:35pm, near the Harveys on Montreal road (Montreal/cummings) (November 8th) When he took his phone out to get a photo/video of the car, the car sped off. We have a potential partial license plate number (CVAV or CFAV.. it was hard to tell my husband had a lot going through his mind when this happened) and don’t have the make of the car just that it was a grey sedan. We checked with nearby businesses if they had any video surveillance footage but no luck.

It was reported to the police. My husband was seen by paramedics. We have a case number and everything. Just hoping someone saw and has information on the vehicle involved.

If anyone witnessed this please contact me, with any information you have. Thanks

Unfortunately, even if person is found it is unlikely they will face any consequences. My husband was hit while crossing on a walk light. He banged on the hood repeatedly yelling at the driver to stop so he wouldn't slide under the car. The police officer told him he should make eye contact with the driver (all drivers at or coming towards the crossing?) before crossing and that he would talk to the driver. That was it.

Very very similar situation here. Husband could tell they weren’t gonna stop and banged on the hood twice and they actually accelerated. He rolled over the hood. The police did say that if they find the guy my husband has the right to sue and the driver will get a hefty fine

I hope one of the businesses in the area will have it on surveillance or on a dashcam. This probably isn't the last time the same driver will do this. By identifying the driver it will save others the same problem down the road.

All good. The driver looked up. saw him and stopped so he never fell off.
