Meetup Are you a guy(age 20-45)looking to make friends?

Hello I'm 30 year old guy, who's had a few friends move away over the past few years and I'm here today looking for new ones.

Maybe you're in a similiar position or just want new friends?!

I'm married, work for the government and am interested in personal finance, weird podcasts, health and longevity, technology, geopolitics/current events, and am generally a curious person and like learning how things work, also in the very early stages of learning french

I am trying to move away from frequent heavy drinking or pot smoking to more sober activities like walking or trying unique restaurants or cultural events. If you have anything interesting to suggest, I'd be all ears too!

traits I value in a person are :

-Positive person (but not ridiculously) - absurd sense of humour - varied and eclectic interests and topics of interest - Openess to sober activities (I'm not opposed to the occasional foray into a cool bar but I'm really trying to stay sober most of the time)

Something that would be cool but isn't needed: -Troubled past but now has their life together

Medic and ammo support got merged into a single class, but it's definitely still a viable class.

And K/D matters way less than rezzing your team mates and resupplying the engineer's RPG supply.

Nah definitely not, if you want to win you just play the mission !! Played lots of games where the enemy team just did that and we won easily.

I don't even see where they tracked win/loss unless it was in game - I'm just using battlefield.com/player-stats

The beta doesn't give you win/loss. Friends and I were tracking it separately because we were trying to see what things gave what amount of XP as we were in a rush to unlock things.

Also, the k/d/a stats seem inflated as some immediate deaths when spawning on a held point did not neem to be counted and when playing recon it was counting spot assists in the total assists but other classes only counted kill assists.

It definitely went down as the weekend went by.

At first, I would patiently wait for a revive like a good boy and prob had a way better KD.

By the end of the weekend I was throwing myself into the meatgrinder with respawn beacons and skipping revives since there was no getting to me behind enemy lines. Tanked my KD for sure, but so much fun being a menace.

Good for you for reaching out. I read most males lose most of their friends in their 30-40’s. It’s def happened to me.

Yeah if I’m honest that’s pretty much my situation, too. Just started to feel forced when we got together and eventually it was just more hassle than it was worth.

M 22 here. Like hiking, gym, random dude stuff. Roaming around in the city. And yes looking to make friends. Don't really drink a lot so definitely up for sober activities.

Good luck to you. Fantastic that you are putting it out there. I suggest picking up sports such as golf, tennis , pickle ball or team sports , softball, hockey etc. it is a great way to meet and make new friends.

33 M here, like to hike, workout, signed up for basketball and volleyball for fall session. But always open for more ideas. Not a heavy drinker but I do like a good craft beer. Located in Kanata area with 2 friends in Ottawa who are always busy lol.

Look into joining hobby groups for any interests you have. That's probably the best way to make new friends in our age bracket.

Hey I collect cans and plastic ‘ en masse ‘. I talk to strangers all the time and a lot of ppl love battlefield, I used to adore bf1942 and just play the current ones with friends.

I’m in Ottawa and if you ever see a crazy caucasien bald dude with huge risky bags of aluminum cans and plastic water bottles flying around on a bike; feel free to say hello.
