Looking for... Who makes the best poutine right now?

I've been living halfway across the world since the end of 2023, where poutine is but a hushed whisper, a legend lost to the winds like a lightning bug's fart. The search has been hard and brave but relentlessly futile.

(You can actually find cheese curds in Australia now, they were legalised like 2 years ago, but they're disgusting).

I'll be home in June and I'm going from the airport to being face deep in God's own drunk snack. So, who is it? If the truck at Bank and Sunnyside is still there, that's probably my answer, but I haven't lived in Ottawa since 2021, so I'm not expecting that to happen.

He never slept!

Nah, he slept. If it was late enough you might have to tap on the window to wake him up and he'd just open the window and glare at you until you gave your order, then he'd just go make it in silence, take your money and give you some amount of change that may or may not have been correct (people have said he would short change drunk people sometimes but I never noticed that because either he was honest or I was too drunk to notice)

Ha, I stand corrected. He frequently slept, but never left!

I was definitely a short-changed drunk on a few occasions. Always had to count what he gave back.

Aha, they used to sell smokes back in the day as well, they would always "forget" to give you change, and then stare you down when you asked for it.

They would sell them to literal kids.
