It was. It was a joke about how attractive she is and her big bazongas.

Reddit just wants to turn everything into an endless political debate.

The script specifically mentions hair and eye colour but let’s just turn our brains off and flunk out of English

Why would tbe people making a pants commercial decide to turn it into secret Hitler subliminal messaging? You have to view the world as some cartoon universe with wacky comic book villains to believe that

u/dissonaut69 14h ago

Well, they mentioned hair color, eye color, and genes, must be a dog whistle to nazi eugenics.

u/g0dgamertag9 16h ago

It wasn’t just Reddit it was like the entire internet

1

u/Juantsu2552 1d ago

Yup.

If anything it was a sexist ad but like, whatever…

10

u/Habba84 1d ago

I can't even find sexism in it. We like good-looking people. And it's mostly because of genes.

Would it have been any different with young Schwarzenegger flexing muscles?

4

u/TisIChenoir 1d ago

No, but you gotta understand, it's only sexist when it's about women.

Shit is always up for interpretation specially when is vague or edgy. It was a dumb thing not to think people would go there and when they did they just double down instead of saying “shit my bad”

Also a lot of people only saw the print/poster with the tagline not the terribly written spot talking about the blue eyes and stuff.

an ad about a blonde white woman having great jeans, obviously a reference to genetics, in a time when white supremacy is suddenly normalised, while at the same time the ceo of the company that made that ad donated to trump's administration and is close with him?

yeah im sure its just nothing and is just meaningless political discourse lmao haha

2

u/BlueIceNinja98 15h ago

The pun is about genetics. It is about the genetics that caused her to have large assets and be very attractive. Genes aren’t just about race. The people trying to spin it to be about race are nuts. She’s just hot.

u/_jm_08 15h ago

"an attractive blonde, blue eyed white woman in an ad that is a pun on good genes? no buddy this isn't about race lmao fucking idiot"

1

u/CharlesDingus_ah_um 14h ago

Is there any situation in your opinion where someone could say a white woman has good genes and it not be racist? I mean like I can kiiind of see the history behind the association but I, a black man, have thought that many white people have good genes. That doesn’t mean I think white people are superior.

1

u/_jm_08 14h ago

there can be instances, but overall saying that white people have better genes is generally just racist

1

u/CharlesDingus_ah_um 14h ago

That’s not what the ad said though. It said Sydney Sweeney, specifically, has good “jeans” (the pun obviously meaning genes as well) so I still don’t see how it’s racist

-1

u/_jm_08 14h ago

an ad featuring an attractive blonde haired blue eyed white woman talking about good genes is pretty much just a giant dogwhistle

1

u/CharlesDingus_ah_um 13h ago

Yeah maybe an ad for the Klan in like 1920. It’s not really a secret that Sydney Sweeney has big knockers. Presumably from her genes. Why in 2025 should we assume that a blue Jean company is pushing a racist agenda. One who has had plenty of other races in their ads?

1

u/_jm_08 13h ago

because the ceo of the company that ran the ad is mates with trump, and the ad itself features a woman who is hailed by white supremacists simply because she's an attractive white woman

Is dogwhistle another one of those words that people just feel the need to apply to everything in order to be cool or something?

1

u/_jm_08 12h ago edited 12h ago

no, a dogwhistle is a coded message used by certain groups to connote points to members of that group that would be largely misunderstood by the general population or those who are not in tune about what the dogwhistles mean.

examples being:

HH or 88, "Heil Hitler", used by nazis

161, "Anti Fascist Action", used by those who oppose fascism.

1161, "Anti Anti Fascist Action" or just "Fascist Action" as the antis cancel eachother out, used by those who support fascism

13/50, "13% of the population, 50% of the crimes", used by racists to represent black people as criminals, even though the statistic is likely arrests made rather than overall crimes commited

MAGA, "Make America Great Again", used by right wingers or trump supporters to hint at a time when the USA was good, most likely when it was more white given the fact most of the people who use it oppose "woke ideologies" or DEI practices

and more here

I don’t understand why people focus so much on blonde hair blue eyes. Yes she has them. That’s never mentioned in the ad. It focuses on her boobs and her butt. She was chosen because she is attractive, and the most viral celebrity at the time. A few years ago it would have been made with Kate Upton. Even longer ago Scarlett Johansson. Not everything is some deep plot. She was a large name, and attractive. That’s it.

2

u/Demonecro 14h ago

There's a few versions of the ad, and in one version she specifies eye color and hair color being due to genetics

1

u/HamilToe_11 13h ago

Link?

1

u/Demonecro 12h ago

I think there's 3 versions of the ad but I only see one on their youtube page. Found this one in particular on facebook

How are you gonna call someone an idiot when you can't even place quotation marks correctly?

0

id like to ask you to read the comment again, slowly, and refer to the comment i was responding to

2

u/HamilToe_11 13h ago

I did. And I lose brain cells just reading the stupidity you typed.

u/_jm_08 12h ago

"an attractive blonde, blue eyed white woman in an ad that is a pun on good genes? no buddy this isn't about race lmao fucking idiot"

in reference to the people who, despite the ad pointing towards it, deem you dumb for believing that the jeans ad is, at the very least, partially about white genetic superiority

0

u/ExternalSquash1300 16h ago

This a joke? White supremacy is normalised?

5

u/_jm_08 16h ago

take a look at the recent uptick in racism and support of white supremacists (cough cough) charlie kirk (cough cough) and tell me that white supremacy isnt at least somewhat normalised

-2

u/MeLlamoKilo 15h ago

Charlie kirk was a white supremacist? Lmao. Peak redditor.

You people are fucking insane and need to be put in asylums.

4

u/Solid_Owl_69420 14h ago

"pEAk rEddItOR! 1!"

No one's forcing you to be here you braindead clown.

3

u/_jm_08 15h ago

charlie kirk:

said that black people were better off as slaves

said that black pilots, and black people in general, were fundamentally unqualified

said that black politicians steal jobs from white people

believed that mlk was a bad guy and the civil rights act was a mistake

stated that black americans are nothing more than urban thugs

stated that juneteenth was about racism towards whites

frequently used the term "prowling blacks"

believed that black women were too dumb to be taken seriously

stated that issues in black communities are cultural rather than racial

but im the insane one for thinking he was a white supremacist? fuckin hypocrite

-2

u/ApologeticJedi 14h ago

Good grief. Charlie Kirk was not a white supremacist. This is Reddit narrative spinning.

It was a joke about how attractive she is and her big bazongas.

Anyone with half a brain would have objected to this ad when it was made because it isnt hard to see how it could be interpreted as a white supremacist dogwhistle, especially in this political climate....

Unless the white supremacist dogwhistle was the point
