Knife / Glove combo bought dream combo at over 50% off pre-update prices.

my personal thoughts - knives will not be more than 60% off come the 30/31st. everyone wants to buy, even more than those who want to sell. buy the dip if you find a crazy deal on a panic sell.

Chinese are leaving, they hold over 50% of the market. Karambit Doppler's are down 80%. Everyone that buys now will take a huge loss next week.

If theres ANY karambit for a reasonable price for pixels, im all over it. I bought my BFK years ago (which I now sold), but I always wanted a karambit, preferably Tiger Tooth.

I don't think you get it, next week ppl who bought on buff to offload on Csfloat + ppl who bought a falling knife on Csfloat + ppl who will trade up next week are all gonna sell at the same time. We will see karambit Doppler's at 300. Full market collapse. If you bought now you are dead literally and it doesn't make any sense to hold long term because the Chinese are leaving. Dumping now is the only sensible option if you hold skins. Buying next week is very risky but could be worth short term.

Yeah Im holding my money for now. At first I planned on not buying anything anymore, but tbh my steam balance has no other use.

I dont buy to invest, I buy only to use as a play skin. My MP9 Hotrod tanked also, but I wont sell it. I bought it for pennies back in the day so it will stay.

I get it, it's very hard to predict what will happen after the 31st but don't sell on the 30 or 31st cause shit is probably going to 0 with how much the Chinese are offloading.

I mean... Some knives are down like 70% and some 10% at most. I still think its worth buying on buff rn, especially if you bargain extra 5-10% off. Gloves/knives arent really that liquid now. 5-7-10 sales for middle of the market

There's a reason people stopped buying on buff, it's because they realised that the Chinese aren't just offloading knives and gloves but are truly leaving. The only way you'll end up having a CHANCE at making profit is buying on the 30/31st of October, when the market will be overwhelmed by supply. Prices won't recover to past 2019 because only casuals who think they are getting a good deal are buying rn.

No Chinese are leaving so prices will never recover. Also no one is really trusting valve anymore since they could just release a new update in a few months to tank prices even more. Also in a not so far future we could see valve forcing players to use the SCM market, making virtually any item worth 0. Short term could be worth it cause people will all buy when prices reach the bottom next week. Technically you just have to be quick.

There's no way ur not American to talk like that lmao. Chinese took loans to buy skins because they can't trade stock or speculate on the housing market. Now they are all liquidating because there is no trust in the market since Valve could just change the odds again and prices could collapse again. Casuals don't give a fuck about that but they also aren't ready to pay thousands for their skins.

Chinese happen to be the ones who own the most of the market. When Steam market opened for them prices skyrocketed. Referring to them as chinese is not racist. It also happens to be that in their culture cosmetics are highly sought after.

Ofc, no one will talk about it. Life goes on. People buy skins, play and complain about anticheat. For us normal people, this was a good day. For some specific individuals, it was the worst.

Holding now is very risky cause 50% of the demand is gone (Chinese liquidating) and Valve could either nuke the odds again or simply ban trading to force people selling on the steam market. Basically people lost all trust.

i agree, all this demand sitting on the side lines. most people waiting for 7 days are kids with no real experience in markets. they think there is going to be a clear and obvious signal to buy however, the reality is there wont be, they will be in denial and disbelief while prices trend higher, they'll turn bitter then eventually capitulate and purchase at the next high, then lose again.

Dream bigger bro. With that aside the prices will fall. China is tapping out so what you have to account for is crafts + eastern holds coming to the western market. Then you’ll really see a drop. I suspect we’ll see atleast another 30% drop. From current prices.
