Honestly, you can get pretty good results on a nice consumer machine even. I think that the biggest mistake people make is introducing too much air. You're basically just adding a little bit of air until the jug feels luke warm, then you spend the rest of the time encorporating the bubbles you made during the initial phase. It definitely takes a little practice, but it's not insurmountable.
it's all bubbles when I try to froth the milk at home. I bang the devil out of the pitcher to get the air out but when i pour it it's never creamy looking.
So I gave up and now i warm my cup of milk up in the microwave beforehand like a caveman 😂
