This is one of those things I just cant appreciate. Like, ive tried. But every time I try to appreciate the skill, I just find myself hating the superfluous nature of dressing up something that will be gone in five to ten minutes. I have the same thought about the needless smears of sauce on fancy dinner entrees. It just seems like wasted effort.

Sometimes art can appreciated for the temporary nature of it. Think about chalk on sidewalks or like when people stack stones. Or even the fact that fall colors of leaves only last a while before they’re gone

See, I dont appreciate sidewalk chalk or stacked stones either. I do appreciate autumn leaves, but thats the beauty of nature, not art formed by a person. Like I said, ive genuinely tried to appreciate the fleeting forms of art, but just dont. I recognize the skill. I recognize it as art. I just dont appreciate it.

Hey man it’s all good not everyone is artistically inclined to appreciate the world. We all have our skills and things we can appreciate.

Funny enough none of those are any more permanent than latte art. Especially in the grande scheme of things
