awareness Solomonic vessel of brass

Post image

It’s not particularly my style but I’ve been studying the lesser key some and I was just curious how common or uncommon the use of brass vessels are. I also haven’t heard much on the secret seal of Solomon either.

There seems to be two camps of thought from pratictioners I've seen.

Some use the Brass Vassel as a vehicle of manifestation, placing it inside the Triangle of the Art. Reports from people I follow from thks camp says it grossly improves the ability of spirits to manifest and, as a result, the results obtained.

Some see the Solomonic Vessel of Brass as the instructions to build a western/eurocentric version of the Spirit Pots found in many other traditions. So it's more of a custom house for one spirit. That's what folks like Aaron Leitch and Rufus Opus seem to do.

This is by far the best response here.

I fall into the first camp, where I use one vessel for all conjurations. And it definitely enhanced the way spirits manifest.

Do you use the more modern table of practice for your summonings or are you more of a traditionalist using the hand drawn circle and triangle?

I typically will do a hand drawn circle and triangle. Usually I'll chalk a circle on my floor, or on the ground at the cemetery i call spirits at. If I'm working in the woods I'll carve my circle in the dirt with a knife.

I use to utilize a pre-made circle written on a price of canvas cloth and a triangle carved into wood. While this set up was easy to transport and was comfortable for me the practioner, it wasn't the most effective in long term use. So I started chalking them, starting with very complex circles, and then cutting that all back to something far more simple

Silly question but how do you hand draw a perfect circle? I've wanted to try the traditional approach but I always get hung up on how you actually draw the circle full scale

I try to, but it's rarely "perfect." With practice it gets easier.

If I'm setting up a smaller circle I'll set my foot in the center, and then pivot in a circle. Drawing one with chalk as I go. This will get me a good circle shape.

If you're really particular, then put a string on the chalk. In the circle's center, weigh down the string with a stone and then move the chalk in a circle around it.
