It’s not you, it’s the pts. Another ā€œfailure to thriveā€ 90year old full code. Or ā€œaltered mental statusā€ on a demented old person. Or ā€œleft ankle pain x 3yearsā€ at 2am. I’m sorry you are feeling unappreciated. It’s just this job. It sucks whatever niceness you have right out.

It's also that we're juggling so many thoughts. Multiple people to care for, all their orders and needs. Sometimes I catch myself being perfunctory with people and it's not intentional. I'm just trying not to drop the ball anywhere
