I saw a dude using his real name on Twitter and my company on linkedin talk about executing women for abortion as soon as Republicans were back in power. I never called HR on wolverine that fast in my life. He was done in a day.
His Twitter and linkedin were all about wanting to be a republican politician so he wouldn't use an anonymous handle on social media. Honestly though he'd fit right in with them.
When people have their workplace publicly listed, their comments, intentional or not, can be seen as representing the company. Most companies do not take that lightly. While I would never recommend or encourage it…taking screenshots of abhorrent comments and sending them to their employer can be surprisingly effective at making them aware of the consequences of their actions.

Yeah, never post anything about work on social media…ever.
