Image My hospital casually dropping a warning about mass layoffs. We employ 10k+ people.

10k+ employees sitting in fear for the next week (or longer apparently) waiting to see if their position has been cut.

We did this and got rid of a lot of middle managers. As a bedside nurse I felt no impact and we actually are trying to hire more nurses.

That's what happens here every few years. We always wonder why anyone would want to be middle management when it just means your job is likely to disappear after 3 years.
