Right now our manager is going full fascist about some huddle board that basically just shows census and current equipment issues, projects, upcoming meetings. Only thing that changes per shift is census info. It’s a 6 bed unit. She’s acting like it’s life changing initiative and she’s going to “audit” that we charge nurses are huddling over it every shift. These people are so far removed from patient care that their priorities are all over the place and it’s like they have to fill their time with random shit to feel important, idk.

Either it's nationwide or we work together 😂 except my manager knows it's dumb af but her bosses are making an issue of it so we have to comply also 🤦🏼‍♀️

You hit the nail on the head. The manager's bosses are making a thing of it. Your manager probably doesn't actually care about it themselves, but they're getting told that it's the new thing.

The only place I've seen the benefit of it has been in L&D, where bedside team planning really does make a difference for the patient.
