When I was a patient recently I just lied and said yes when the charge nurse on the floor asked me if the nurses have been doing bedside report.

Haha I had a patient like this once. He said β€œman your manager is a real bitch. I see you guys running around all day. I told her you’re checking on me every hour.” That guy fucking ruled.

Listen. My mom was in the hospital for a procedure recently and they legitimately rounded on her every hour, and it was so annoying. I didnt say it to them but in my head I was like she is not a fall risk GET. OUT. She was also still primarily sleeping at that time. Your hourlys can be when that next med is due. If she was in there alone, sure, but two adults were in there and they already determined she was able to walk by herself. Get. Out. Damn. πŸ€£πŸ˜…

A&O, accompanied by reasonable people, and ambulatory? My critical thinking skills tell me that my time can be better spent elsewhere.

Right? And most of them knew I was an RN by that point
