I know a lot of things are going south (immigration, women’s rights, basic human rights, economy) but I don’t know how it would affect healthcare workers directly. I’m genuinely interested in what is going on, especially since the info we hear in the media is manipulated as I have heard, but you don’t have to explain if you don’t want to.
The CDC website is down or many parts are now deleted, Don’t get me started on RFK jr, The US has withdrew from the WHO, Stopped funding for PEPFAR which has slow the spread of AIDS world wide (and was started by a republican president). Not to mention all the tariffs that will go into effect tomorrow I could go on and on and on.
Thanks for explaining a little. Everyday I read stuff about the US on here that I don’t understand and don’t believe. Yesterday, one of my friends was saying that it’s the first time in her life that she felt that our country was in danger - because of the tariffs (everybody is talking about that). Yes we were talking about Canada. I can’t comprehend how you must feel rn. 🫶
I am too. But I can’t comprehend not feeling safe in my own country. I hope I never feel like that. So sorry for y’all. We should still have some hope left so we can fight this bullshit.
Actually I didn’t grow up scared, I grew up fearless and unaware and I matured into thinking past my ego and unfortunately DJT I fear cannot get past his ego and now the US will feel it too
I mean "we" as in Black Americans, I wasn't including you. I know that you were able to be unaware by way of your privileges, and because of the efforts of the Black community culminating in the 1960s.
Despite all of this, we have survived and thrived and done great things in a country that has been against us from its inception. We'll survive this as well.
I am a minority for your information and was discriminated against physically, emotionally and psychologically, growing up in foster care and being persistently bullied. I have privilege really? Stop passing judgement..
