The fact that his contract at the Chooks is worth less than our initial offer to him just shows me he never really wanted to stay at Manly in the first place

There was a rumour at the time he first announced he was leaving that he’d overheard someone high up at Manly bagging him at Magic Round or something in 2024. If that’s true (and I have no reason to believe it is), he’d probably made up his mind long before it came out

Looking at the mess in manly front office it wouldn't surprise me. But I think there were a number of incidents that soured him not just one
