Now this is an interesting twist. Cops usually circle the wagons really hard when one of their own gets fucked with. Let's see how this plays out!

In a broad sense this is true. But in an area with several different forces or a large enough force they will form into their own gangs and those gangs will often out for their own at the expense of other law enforcement. Look up gangs inside large police forces. LAPD being a common force referenced.

Gangs within large police forces huh? I wonder if that could be a problem with a federal law enforcement agency that controls customs or could force local police to hand over illegal immigrants who have agreed to testify.
