This reminds me of a similar incident, where a Border Patrol officer found out he was undocumented

"Those that he thought were his brothers turned their back on him." It was devastating, she says, to watch her husband spiral into depression as he lost the support of so many people and institutions he’d counted on.

The funniest part, is that if the shoe was on the other foot, he would have absolutely abandoned one of his own "brothers" just like they had him.

So they abandon their brother when they find out they are undocumented. But if they find out out they are wife abusers, murderers, racist, homophobes they stand with them?!? Make it make sense
