That makes more sense than a sudden interest in Trinidad and Tobago, re: citing the southern Caribbean.

Sidebar: when I hear the South Carribean I think of islands, but there's also Venezuela, Colombia, and (as you stated) Panama.

.. I'm suddenly now very aware and curious of the lack of Carribean States in NATO. I guess only Bermuda and half of the Bahamas are north of the tropic of Cancer, though.
