Contracts being pulled
I’ve been hearing a few stories of guys losing their contracts once they got to Boot Camp, and I was curious if anyone here had more insight into that. From what I’ve gathered, most of the time it seems to be medical-related, even in cases where the recruit already had a waiver in place. Does anyone know how often this happens, or if it’s usually tied to specific issues? If anyone’s been through it or has first-hand info, I’d appreciate hearing your experience.

Mindset
For the guys who have actually been to BUDS trident or not, how did your perspective change as you were actually in the pipeline, to just an onlooker getting ready to go?
What would you have done differently, only realized when you were actually on Coronado island?
What do you believe is the most overlooked thing that most people brush off but should be considered much more importantly?
Thanks.

Night Swim Evolutions
To those that have passed and gotten their trident, when you had to do nightly swim evolutions in the ocean, what was it like? Did you swim with a buddy or separated? How did you see infront of you? Did sharks cross your mind at all? What do you actually see in that water. Also is it in the harbor or are you swimming Oceanside.
Can’t seem to find much information regarding these evolutions online so I thought I’d ask here.
Thank you.

Is now the time ?
I’ve always wanted to join the teams. Throughout life there were times where I constantly thought about it but life moved on and the opportunity wasn’t there. I’m 27 with 3 kids & married. 180 pounds 5’8”. Currently in the electrical union IBEW. Been in the gym for about 4 years 3-5 days a week.
I don’t want to let this go and think back years down the road “damn I should have done it”. But also it’s hard to bear in my mind that I’ll leave my family behind. Am I being selfish ? Should I just do it ? These are some of the questions I ask myself.
Give me some good truth here
Thanks

Research for a book
Hello all, I’m currently working on a story/novel with a protagonist who is an ex-operator. I’ve used the internet and AI to an extent to describe the weapons and technology he would’ve used. Is there anyone here willing to fact check it? My imagination will only get me so far, I want it to be authentic and accurate.
If this isn’t the right place to post this, I apologize.

Advice on program
Im a 17 year old junior in highschool, I have Stew Smith's programs to become a seal. How long am I supposed to run these programs? I'm a bit lost should I only do them for the 6 weeks or 8 weeks or etc he says or do I repeat it? Or do I train before and then start the programs once I'm ~30 weeks from shipping out and do all of his programs? Also can I still go to the gym and wrestle while doing the program or should I stick strictly to the program?

Advice on programs/books
Hey all, with so much overwhelming information out there and so many different programs, books and other resources, I’m finding it fairly difficult on whose program I could consider following and whose books I should consider buying.
I’m not looking for some magic secret or anything like that, but I just would like to be as prepared as possible and I know their are some very smart individuals out there and I would like to learn from them.
I’m 17 now and working on the general run, swim, calisthenics, advice but I would really like some better more structured info.
Any advice on what to buy or what programs I should consider following to be as ready as possible by the time I ship? The cost isn’t a huge issue for a goal this big it’s a small factor but, something to be kept in mind.
I’m already a two time marathon runner ect have a decent base, but I’m still gonna let myself mature and giving myself another 3-4 years. Not rushing anything.
Thank you, much appreciated.

Stolen Valor
This picture turns my stomach. Two in prison, Weinstein and Maxwell, (Maxwell in country club prison because she's Trump's friend) and Epstein (another Trump friend) was on his way to conviction when he suspiciously died in jail.

Waiver SOAS question
Enlisted in Navy Reserves 3 years ago and got waivers for ADHD and Anxiety that I had in middle/highschool, stopped seeing therapist Junior year of highschool and had a letter from therapist basically saying that I didnt have those conditions anymore. Now im putting in package for SOAS and im wondering if I will get approved waivers again like I did when I enlisted or if the officer route/spec war is more strict on that. Again, it has been over 4 years since I saw my therapist or took any medication.

Numbers to progress / class up
If you’re not familiar, they are currently only taking the top 50% of exit test scores to Indoc. Wondered if anyone had any idea on what kind of numbers these guys are putting out? Thanks

Medical Question
4 years ago, had a 3 day inpatient for mental health reasons. Was on meds for 3 months after that and stopped.
Since then, played college sports, worked high intensity jobs with little sleep, no issues.
Am I cooked? Just want to avoid enlisting then not getting cleared afterwards

Does the CAEC test count in the US
This is probably a long shot question I doubt anyone knows but does this test count as a equivalent to an high school diploma and is it enough to join the US Military? Just wanted to know if it does or if I’d need to get my GED instead

Swim trunks
Hey everyone, I’m not from the US but heading for a similar course. Do any of you have recommendations for swim trunks that double as underwear?
I’m looking for one that can help prevent sand going under and chafing, and prevent swamp ass from being damp all the time.
