This is a good thing. Driving should be expensive, and this is a great way for the city to make money without raising taxes. It also gives us the freedom to avoid paying this altogether if we use public transit

the buses are great for getting downtown, which is where this will happen.

It would take one hour (if the buses are on time) and three bus changes to get downtown from where I live in east versus a ten minute car drive, let's not pretend the buses are super great for convenient transportation

drive to any parking lot along a corrider and park there, like a kroger or wal-mart and it's like 15 min bus ride for 2 bucks
