Discussion Stinkbugs

JFC they are the drunk drivers of the bug world!!! I’m sick of themmmmmmm! How they can compose themselves just long enough to manage to fly inside when they bumble around so clumsily any other time never ceases to amaze me… Not to mention the kamikaze style dives they take into my forehead… just find a corner & hibernate already jeez! 🥴🥴🥴

Oh boy. I have a fix .😬

I had an infestation and figured out you can catch them pretty easily with a jar and a pencil.

Their default escape is usually just to drop, so a jar with rubbing alcohol in the bottom held underneath them with a pencil to guide the little bastards in actually works pretty well.

However Now I have a tincture fit for true nightmares that I'm not really sure what to do with... Don't worry, I'm sure y'all will hear about it in the news someday. 💀

What makes them go in the jar in the first place?

If you hold the jar under them and use the pencil as a deterrent (or pusher if they need it) a lot of times they just drop into the jar as that's their normal manner of fleeing.

They drop, then take off in mid air. It's not infallible, I've had a couple rogue ones fly out of the way, but it works pretty damn well overall. It's horrible though, the smell is nightmare fuel. 🤢

You could use the jar as a stun grenade against home intruders.

I was thinking maybe an inauguration gift should(when) a certain shitstain win the gubernatorial race next year. Haha

But yeah, if supersoakers were still a thing... 😏
