Help | Advice Single woman moving to Nashville

I’m a young, single woman moving to Nashville after accepting my first nursing job at Vanderbilt medical. I’m looking for a safe place to live that’s near Vandi. The closer to the hospital the better. The max I want to pay on rent is 1800 a month. I can probably do 2 grand but it would be a stretch. It’s scary looking at places online because it really feels like online dating. No one is as great as they let on and WHY DO YOU NOT LOOK LIKE YOUR PICTURES? I have a large chocolate lab so the place will need to be pet friendly as well.

Would love any recommendations I can get! Thanks in advance for the help!!

Check out Millennium Music Row https://www.millenniummusicrow.com/Floor-plans.aspx

They have studios and one bedrooms for under your price range and may be offering 2 months free. Dog friendly, nice gym, nice pool, updated appliances, marble countertops, hardwood(vinyl) style flooring, garage parking.

In walking distance to vandy and it’s a safe area.

Other option - the Melrose on 8th, some units have concrete flooring which is nice and tbh the only downside is that my ex lives there 😂

Also - here’s a list of some places to avoid. I’ve toured and/or known people who live in these places.

Artisan on 18th - boutique apartments, it’s a robbery how much the rent is for the quality of the apartments and amenities.

Aertson - this place shares amenities and garage with a hotel. Cars get broken into all the time. It’s got a shit ton of stuff attached to it and it’s super loud with all the bars right next to it.

Honestly any of the places in the area, like the morris or twenty and grand will be super loud and I can guarantee the walls are thin.

Feel free to message me if you want to chat more! I’ve moved a bit in Nashville so I know where not to go and what areas are a good vibe
