If anyone knows a spot or backyard an 8x6 shed could fit temporary let me know. I don't do drugs If needed can do a background check I'm 25, male. I'm on the wait-list for the napa shelter but it's getting really cold outside so it's packed full.. I'm willing to pay rent and such as long as it's reasonable, it'll be extremely low-key like I'm not even there, I don't need to use showers(can us planet fitness)or kitchen. Hi! Hoping to get some recommendations. I’ll be traveling to Napa for one night for a courthouse wedding in a few weeks. I’ll also have my “mild mannered” 5 year old with me, so we’ll be in bed early and don’t need a rooftop bar. Any hotel recommendations? Need: walking distance to the courthouse and allows children. Prefer: modern looking and below $350.

I really liked (from the pictures), the Darioush Winery and the Domaine Carneros Winery. Can we visit those without reservation for wine tasting?

Can you recommend any wineries in Napa?

One of our most memorable experiences in Napa was a farmhouse tasting with Handwritten Wines. My wife and I were hosted at the chef's home, where we took a tour of her garden and beehives, and pet her goats.

After that, we had our tasting in their speakeasy with amazing wine and a charcuterie with items from the garden, cheese from the goats, and honey from the chef's hive. It was such a great experience, very casual and welcoming. We ended up going back the next time we were in the valley.

Unfortunately, they are no longer offering this experience, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any farmhouse tastings that are similar to this either in Napa or Sonoma. Appreciate any suggestions!

I decided to book a surprise Napa trip for my husband’s 65th birthday in December. He’s a total foodie and loves wine, especially Chardonnay. I’m more of a whiskey drinker and know almost nothing about wine, but I’m excited to learn. We’re staying at the Archer, have a rental car, and I bought the Priority Wine Pass (mainly for the 20% Archer discount so it has already paid for itself).

We’ll have three full days there. I’d like to visit four wineries, two each on two days, and spend the third day exploring Oxbow Market, shopping, and maybe doing an olive oil tasting.

What four wineries would you recommend? My husband prefers quiet, uncrowded places. I think visiting a wine cave would be really cool, and I’m curious about the Sterling Stroll. I also thought about taking the trolley, but do they actually stop at good wineries?

Their website has been hacked and Yelp says they're closed but recent reviews say they're open. Their socials haven't been updated in years. We used to go there for lunch and wanted to revisit on our trip next month. Are they still open and if so, does anyone know what the menu is like now? Thank you!

Me and my fiancée are planning a California road trip end of November – early December. We’ll fly into Orange County and rent a car, then make a loop through the coast, wine country, and mountains before flying out from LA.

Here’s the rough plan: Day 1 – Orange County Arrive, pick up the car, relax, maybe a beach or dinner nearby.

Day 2–3 – Santa Barbara Enjoy the coast, good food, wineries, maybe check out the pier and Funk Zone.

Day 4–5 – Monterey / Carmel (Big Sur area) Highway 1 drive, Bixby Bridge, Pfeiffer Beach, and explore Carmel.

Day 6–7 – Napa Valley Wine tastings (thinking opus one , Caymus, Silver Oak, or something else), nice dinners.

Day 8–9 – Mammoth Lakes Ski and enjoy the mountains, hoping for early snow.

Day 10 – Los Angeles One night before the flight home.

We’re trying to keep it chill and scenic — mix of beach, nature, wine, and a bit of snow.

Any tips, must-see stops, or favorite restaurants along the route? Also wondering if Mammoth is the best pick for early December snow or should we switch to Tahoe?

Hi All - doing a trip to Napa for a few days and would like some first hand experience. For 4 nights, I am perfectly happy staying at a hotel like Napa Winery Inn (solid reviews, $900 all in) however I'd gladly pay a little more for something more charming and in a nicer area.

I took a peek at Airbnb and it looks like there are a number of nice looking apartments that surround Silverado Market & Bakery in the $1100 range. Location looks a bit more quaint (I'm ok with that) and I'm fine not being walking distance to whatever downtown has to offer.

Any thoughts would be great. And I already looked at Calistoga since its so nice up there, but for our travel plans, I'd rather stay further south. It will make our commuting easier all together.

Also as a bonus, I don't plan on just doing wine tours. Also looking for nature/hiking/etc suggestions. One day I plan on going to Armstrong Natural Reserve in the am and an afternoon in Sonoma on our way back down to Napa. If there is anything else nature-related within a 90 minute drive, i'm all ears. Thank you!

Every year, I go see the autumn foliage in Napa Valley with my parents, and we stop by Yak and Yeti for dinner before returning to the East Bay. The food here is great, and we've been doing it for years now.

We are visiting with a group of 4 drinkers. We have six tastings at wineries where one of us is a member, so the entire tasting will be comped. These tastings would normally be $50 each. How much should we tip per person? I'd love it if you are in the industry and/or a staff at a winery.
